Architecture and Construction Program of Study
The Architectural Drafting and Design program of study focuses on occupational and educational opportunities associated with developing, engineering, and designing building structures and facilities. This program of study includes reading, interpreting, and drawing blueprints for interior and exterior construction projects. Students in this program of study are part of the P-TECH Academy. P-TECH is an early college program where a student can earn a Level 1 Certificate and/or an Associates degree from Del Mar College. At the end of the students 11th grade they will walk the stage and graduate with a Del Mar College Computer Aided & Design Level 1 Certification.
Principles of Architecture (P-TECH) - 9th Grade, 1 Credit (Prerequisites: None)
Intro to Computer Aided Drafting for Architecture (High School Course)
Architectural Design I (P-TECH) - 10th Grade, 1 Credit, (Prerequisites: Algebra l and English l )
Architectural Design II (P-TECH) - 11th Grade, 2 Credit, (Prerequisites: Architectural Design I)
Practicum in Architectural Design I - 12th Grade, 2 Credits, (Prerequisites: Architectural Design ll)
