Whippet News

Taft Junior High is preparing for the upcoming 2021-2022 academic school year. We can't wait to welcome our Whippets back to campus on Thursday, August 12.  
 
Please take some time to register returning Taft ISD students on Skyward Family Access. Students NEW to Taft ISD should complete the registration packet that is provided online.
 
We encourage parents to take advantage of enrolling your child on Monday, July 19 and Tuesday, July 20 from 2:00 pm-7:00 pm at Petty Elementary Cafeteria.  Computers and school personnel will be on hand to assist with the  registration process. 
 
Taft Junior High will have a renaming and ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, August 10. Time will be announced soon. Taft Junior High will be renamed in honor of Ricardo L. Trevino, former Taft ISD Superintendent of Schools. We invite all community members to attend this celebration. TShirts and koozies are being sold at this time and may be purchased Monday, July 19-Wednesday, July 21. Shirts are $15.00 (additional charge for 2X and above) Koozies are being sold for $5.00.
